Breakfast Club
At St Alphonsus’ we operate a 40 place Breakfast Club which is supported by the Greggs Foundation, the aim of which is to provide a simple and nutritious breakfast to children. The Breakfast Club is very popular with pupils who enjoy attending each morning and socialising with friends, which in turn, helps them to be ready for the start of the school day.
Pupils enjoy a breakfast of: a choice of cereal, toast and fruit juices. Throughout the year there are also additional ‘themed’ breakfasts eg pancake day.
The Aims of our breakfast club are:
- To provide a welcoming, safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils before the beginning of the school day.
- To provide children with a simple nutritious breakfast before the beginning of the school day in a pleasant, calm and relaxed environment.
- To provide a wide range of structured play activities, enabling children to engage socially and learn with children from other year groups.
- To continue to build positive relationships with parents.
Breakfast Club is open from 8.00am to 8.40am and is held in the IT Suite.
Any parent wishing to enrol their child into Breakfast Club please call at the school office and put their name on the waiting list.
After School Club
At St Alphonsus’ we offer a safe, secure and friendly environment in which children can be cared for at the end of the school day. This offer enhances the community spirit and contributes toward the Extended School role.
The After School Club runs during Term Time only for children:
Monday – Friday from 3:00 – 5:00pm.
Snacks will be provided.
A range of different age-appropriate activities will be provided for the children, including homework support.
Staff
Our after-school club is run by school staff, they have the correct Safeguarding checks in place. The ratio of staff to children is in accordance with the Governments recommendations.
Fees and Payment
After school club is offered to pupils of St Alphonsus’ Primary School during term time only.
We offer care from the end of the school day until 5:00pm.
- 3:00-5:00 pm costs £6.00 per person per day
The booking of places and payment should be made 48hrs in advance through ParentPay.
