Mission, Ethos & Values

Our Vision

Our vision is based upon developing each member of our community so everyone reaches their full potential with Christ at the centre of our community.

  • Enrich the children’s understanding and living of their Catholic faith.
  • Provide an environment which fosters close partnership with parents/carers and the St Alphonsus’ Parish Community.
  • Promote the dignity and self esteem of everyone in the school.
  • Develop in each individual: respect, care and tolerance for one another.
  • Provide a curriculum in line with the distinctive nature of Catholic Education and one which meets National Curriculum  requirements.
  • Meet the spiritual, academic, physical, social, moral and cultural needs of all pupils to enable them to reach their full potential and to be the best they can be.

Mission

In St. Alphonsus’ Catholic Primary School, we are the best that we can be by:

learning with each other

serving each other

loving each other

in a Christ-centred community.

“Learning, serving, loving with Christ.”

Values

St Alphonsus Catholic Primary and its community leads by example by treating everyone as if they are Jesus. We follow in Jesus’ footsteps by using the gifts that were given to us by God. We use the Fruits of the Holy Spirit to guide us in spreading the gospel message each day and to be the best we can:

  • Be happy
  • Be confident
  • Be determined
  • Be forgiving
  • Be honest
  • Be respectful
  • Be unique
  • Be a team!

💚 Today is the feast day of St Alphonsus Liguori. 💚

St Alphonsus was born in Italy in 1696. He was an Italian Catholic Bishop, spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, scholastic philosopher, and theologian.

Happy feast day to our Parish and School family.

Year 6,
I don’t think I’ll ever find the words to say how proud of you I am. Your hard work, resilience, and positive attitude is something to be immensely proud of.
From teaching you all in Y2 and dancing our way through the year, to supporting you all through SATs and seeing you achieve your goals.
I will always be proud to say I have taught you and you are part of the Green A Team💚
Good luck in the future- you’re going to be amazing!✨
Big love!
Miss Rowland💚
